The Carroll County Chamber of Commerce employs Amy Rutledge as executive director and Vanessa McConnell as administrative assistant.
As director, Rutledge manages the day-to-day operation of the chamber office, as well executes and organizes the policies and procedures as determined by the board of directors.
Executive Director: Amy Rutledge
Amy Rutledge has strong roots in Carroll County with her family having lived here for seven generations. She serves on the Ashton Preservation Foundation and served as president of the Carrollton Retail Merchants and Business Association. Rutledge has also spoken on behalf of the chamber to numerous oil-and-gas organizations about the Utica Shale Play and its effects on Carroll County.
In addition to serving as executive director of the chamber, she serves as executive director of the Carroll County Convention & Visitors Bureau. She has served as president of Ohio’s Appalachian Country and Adventures in Northeast Ohio, partnerships developed to promote tourism in Appalachian counties and Northeast Ohio, respectively.
Administrative Assistant: Vanessa McConnell
Vanessa McConnell moved to Carroll County from Tuscarawas County 12 years ago when she married her husband, Steve. She has served as the administrative assistant since 2014, a position she enjoys.
She looks forward to assisting you with your membership questions. McConnell provides relocation packets to residents moving to the area, as well as serves as the receptionist for the chamber and CVB. She schedules the chamber luncheons and business after-hours.
